"The man who oversaw John McCain's 2008 New Hampshire primary victory will be tasked with ensuring Sen. Scott Brown's reelection in neighboring Massachusetts next year.
Thirty-five year old Vermont native Jim Barnett will serve as Brown's campaign manager, the senator's campaign announced Monday.
A former adviser to Gov. James Douglas, Barnett also served as chairman of the Vermont Republican Party at age 27. Last year he ran Rob Simmons' unsuccessful Senate campaign in Connecticut.
“Scott Brown is a refreshing political figure. He is honest and hardworking, and votes based on what is best for the people he represents. I am excited to be associated with Senator Brown and his campaign,” said Barnett in a statement."
