Durbin, Larson push plan with Alec Baldwin on campaign finance

USATODAY.com:
"Actor Alec Baldwin joined Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin and Rep. John Larson today in unveiling a new campaign-finance bill aimed at getting candidates for Congress to curb their appetite for special-interest money.

Durbin, the Illinois senator who is the No. 2 Senate Democratic leader, and Larson, a Connecticut lawmaker who is chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, have teamed up before on the Fair Elections Now Act.

'Americans would be shocked if they know how much time members of Congress and candidates seeking office must spend dialing for dollars and attending fundraisers,' Durbin said."
