"Matt Griffin, elections deputy in the Nevada secretary of state's office, is resigning early next year to return to private law practice.
Griffin's resignation was announced Thursday by Secretary of State Ross Miller. Griffin will leave his post after Jan. 3.
Appointed elections deputy in 2007, Griffin oversaw the last two general elections that included the 2008 presidential election and last month's hotly contested U.S. Senate race.
He also supervised the ACORN voter registration fraud case and created online voter registration that was used in Clark County in this year's election."
We'll miss Matt in 2012, I'm sure. He was always very professional and helpful.
