About Me

I am a conservative attorney who specializes in campaign finance and election law.  I am a partner at The Gober Group (posts are my own, and do not reflect the views of my employer). I also teach Election Law at Brigham Young University Law School.  I am on the national board of the Republican National Lawyers Association and the CEO of Project Elect, a nonprofit organization that encourages women of faith to run for public office.

I have extensive presidential campaign experience, I worked as campaign finance counsel for McCain-Palin 2008 and was Deputy General Counsel for the Romney for President.

I have also worked as legal counsel to the Committee on House Administration of the U.S. House of Representatives where I focused on issues such as HAVA implementation, election integrity, congressional ethics, and campaign finance. I worked at the Federal Election Commission as law clerk to Commissioner Michael E. Toner and at the DC law firm Caplin & Drysdale where I focused exclusively on campaign finance, election law and lobbying issues.  I received my law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a bachelor's degree in political science and journalism from Brigham Young University.

I research and write about election security and integrity, campaign finance, First Amendment and other issues where politics and law collide.  I have appeared on numberous national and international media outlets, including Fox News and NPR.  To contact me for an interview, please click here.
