SENATE CONFIRMS CHEN FOR SOCIAL SECURITY BOARD — On Monday the Senate confirmed Lanhee Chen to be a member of the Social Security Advisory Board by a voice vote. Chen was Mitt Romney’s policy director in 2012 and is currently a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and director of domestic policy studies at Stanford. Chen tweeted that he is looking forward to addressing the “challenges facing Social Security.”
