Wasserman Schultz may take PAC money

POLITICO.com:
"President Obama's campaign and the DNC, in an effort to bolster Obama's credentials as a reformer and to distance fundraising from the taint of influnce-peddling, refuse to accept contributions from lobbyists or from PACs, which may represent business lobbies or ideological groups.

But Wasserman-Schultz is a sitting congresswoman with her own campaigns to run, and one who relied on PACs for more than $1.1 million in the 2010 cycle -- 58% of her total. Given that she's expected to put the vast bulk of her fundraising energy into raising money for the party, the PAC exception could assure her that she won't neglect her own treasury."
