Politico reports. If Donald Trump wins, however, expect Democrats and Republicans to reverse roles. If Trump wins and Democrats control the Senate, Democrats could try to keep the seat vacant for up to the full length of his term, pointing to McCain’s and Burr’s comments as reasons to do so.
