Five Joint Fundraising Committees Register at FEC

The Federal Election Commission has received five new registrations for political committees that will operate as joint fundraising committees, allowing a donor to easily write one check for a large amount. However, the check may not exceed the combined contribution limit for all the participating candidates/committees.
Registering at the FEC were Kentucky Republican Leadership Fund, which is a joint fundraising effort by the Republican National Committee and the Republican Party of Kentucky. The RMF-NCF-Dakota 2014 Committee is a joint fundraising effort for the Republican Majority Fund (the leadership PAC of Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga.), the Next Century Fund (the leadership PAC of Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C.), and the Dakota PAC (the leadership PAC of Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D.). The Colorado North Carolina Victory Fund is a joint fundraising effort for Hagan for Senate (the campaign committee of Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C.) and Udall for Colorado (the campaign committee of Sen. Mark Udall, D-Colo.). The Reed Begich Victory Fund is a joint fundraising effort for the Reed Committee (the campaign committee of Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I.) and Alaskans for Begich 2014 (the campaign committee of Sen. Mark Begich, D-Alaska). The Kentucky Louisiana Victory Fund is a joint fundraising effort for Alison for Kentucky (the campaign committee of Alison Lundergan Grimes, D-Ky.) and Friends of Mary Landrieu (the campaign committee of Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La.). The Valadao Victory Fund is a joint fundraising effort for Vitoria PAC (the leadership PAC of Rep. David Valadao, R-Calif.), and the National Republican Congressional Committee.
On Monday the Federal Election Commission issued a new advisory about registering a joint fundraising committee.
