Secretary of State Debra Bowen is reminding Californians that September 24, 2013, is National Voter Registration Day, a perfect time to register to vote or check your voter registration. "The first step in making sure you’re ready to take part in next year's statewide gubernatorial election is to register to vote and there is no better time to do it than on National Voter Registration Day," said Secretary of State Debra Bowen, California's chief elections official. "Now that the voter registration application can be submitted online, everyone can log on and take two minutes to check 'registering to vote' off their to-do list."
