Nominees to D.C. Appellate Court Are Solid Democrats, Contributions Show

The buzz saw of controversy that has greeted many judicial nominees in recent years looks like it will be going full tilt for President Obama's latest round of picks. But that may be more because the confirmation process has become so rancorous in general than because of anything in the backgrounds of Patricia Ann Millett, Robert Wilkins and Cornelia "Nina" Pillard, whom Obama nominated this week to fill vacancies on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. They are solid Democrats, however, according to OpenSecrets.org data on their campaign contributions.
