Uniformity sought in vote fraud review in Ohio

Voter fraud investigations must be conducted in formal hearings with official transcripts under new rules created to provide uniformity across the state.

Secretary of State Jon Husted’s first directive of 2013, issued Wednesday, tries to get all 88 county boards of elections using the same process when they review allegations of voter fraud and suppression.

Husted told elections officials during their annual conference last week that a single case of fraud or disenfranchisement should not be tolerated.
