ALABAMA PRIMARIES

polls are open from 7 AM to 7 PM local time [1200 to 0000 GMT]

NOTE: This is an Open primary. Voters may request a Democratic or Republican ballot, but not both.

Republicans: 47 of Alabama's delegates to the Republican National Convention are bound/pledged to presidential contenders in the Alabama Republican Presidential Primary.

Democrats: 63 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are pledged to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in the Alabama Democratic Presidential Primary.

State Primaries: Concomitant with its Presidential Primaries, ALABAMA is also holding Primaries for nominations to its seats in the U.S. House of Representatives for the terms beginning at Noon on 3 January 2013.

NOTE: If no candidate receives at least 50% of the vote in the primary, a runoff will be held between the top two vote-getters on Tuesday 24 April 2012.


AMERICAN SAMOA REPUBLICAN CAUCUS/CONVENTION

A Territorial Caucus meets as a Convention to choose 6 delegates to the Republican National Convention. These delegates are unbound unless instructed otherwise by the Territorial Caucus/Convention itself.


HAWAII REPUBLICAN CAUCUSES

17 of Hawaii's delegates to the Republican National Convention are pledged proportionally to presidential contenders in Precinct Caucuses. Voting occurs between 6 PM and 8 PM local time [0400 to 0600 GMT].


MISSISSIPPI PRIMARIES
