Michigan and Arizona primaries 2012: Mitt Romney reclaims momentum

Mitt Romney reclaimed the momentum in the GOP race here after winning his native state on Tuesday, using the moment to try and reassert his status as Republican front-runner.

In his 12-minute victory speech, he avoided mentioning Rick Santorum — who nearly toppled Romney on his home turf — or Newt Gingrich. But he did criticize President Barack Obama in unusually harsh terms, even for the campaign trail.
