A new kind of political entity, which blends the benefits of traditional political action committees and super PACs, is beginning to catch fire with campaign operatives, a POLITICO review of federal records found.
The number of registered “hybrid PACs” has nearly doubled since last month as established political committees steadily notify the Federal Election Committee that they intend to change their status.
