Is Citizens United the reform?

A story in the New York Times today is a reminder that in using the Citizens United case to strike down McCain-Feingold, the Supreme Court may have reformed campaign finance. No longer would a person have to give money to a politician to get his message out, but instead individuals and corporations could do so directly. This eventually may end the Chicago Way in which a billionaire like George Kaiser rips taxpayers off for a half-billion bucks because he bought a seat at the table in the White House.
