"It would be nice if Utah voters had another arrow in their quiver to deal with runaway politicians: recall elections. Such elections would allow voters to quickly correct major blunders, while giving politicos in the Beehive State extra motivation to be on their best behavior at all times.
For instance, when our lawmakers shoved HB 477 through the legislature earlier this year, the public was outraged and planned a petition drive to get it revoked. The legislature experienced a sudden outbreak of responsibility and repealed the law."
