"Convicted former U.S. House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's legal team has filed a motion asking for a new trial.
In court documents filed Wednesday in Austin, DeLay's attorneys say the former Houston-area congressman merits a new trial in part because of juror misconduct.
They also cite misapplication of the state's election code and faulty instructions to jurors."
