Bogus signatures knock school board member off ballot

The Columbus Dispatch:
"The Franklin County Board of Elections voted unanimously this afternoon to refer for prosecution a man who apparently forged signatures to help Columbus school board President Carol Perkins and member Gary Baker get on the ballot.

The man's actions apparently knocked Baker out of the race after about 15 pages of his petition, each containing up to 19 signatures, were set aside as potentially fraudulent.

'When you've got people who are helping you to procure signatures, one doesn't really expect one to do something like this,' Baker said. 'I mean, I'm shocked.'"
